Your account may be configured to allow you to add virtual hosts to scan. A virtual host configuration consists of the IP address of the virtual host, the port number to be associated with the hosted domain, and the domain name (FQDN) to be hosted by the IP address.
|
A virtual host is a single machine that acts like multiple systems, hosting more than one domain. For example, an ISP could use one server with IP address 194.55.109.1 to host two Web sites on the same port: www.merchantA.com and www.merchantB.com.
By creating a virtual host configuration you ensure that the scanning engine analyzes all domains associated with an IP address, possibly increasing the number of vulnerabilities detected.
Go to Account > Virtual Host. You'll see a list of the virtual hosts already added to the account. Click New to add new virtual hosts. When adding multiple virtual hosts, separate each one with a line break.
Formats:
FQDN:Port:IP
FQDN:Port:IP/Path
For example:
www.merchantA.com:2020:194.55.109.1
www.merchantB.com:2020:194.55.109.1/path2
www.merchantC.com:8080:194.55.109.1
Up to the maximum number of virtual hosts permitted in your account settings (Account > Settings).
Yes. Go to Account > Virtual Host. Identify the virtual host you
want to remove and click in the Delete column.
